Some times pausing QTP script is very irritating work. and sometimes Pause button doesn't work properly so we can create window shortcut and key to run it.

1 - Copy above code and save as pause.vbs.

2 - Create a shortcut.

3 - Go to shortcut property and in shortcut tab go to shortcut key and press your desierd combination.

and then try that shortcut.

Even if your script is in wait() function, We can pause your script.
